Princeton Early Keyboard Center
Saturday Concerts
2025/26
This series of short, informal recitals by PEKC founder and Director Gavin Black will begin on Saturday October 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM with a program of selections from J. S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier, played on a double-manual harpsichord in the German style built in 1978 by Americam harpsichord builder Keith Hill. Like the subsequent concerts in this series it will last about an hour. The other events in the series will be held on November 15, 2025, and - in 2026 - January 10, February 28, and April 28. All the concerts will begin at 4:00 PM.
All of the concerts in this series will be held at Christ Congregation, 10 Walnut Lane, Princeton, New Jersey, 08902.
Later programs will include Italian music of the early Baroque played on a 17th century Italian harpsichord, a clavichord recital featuring at least two different clavichords, and events involving several different Baroque keyboard instruments, most likely including lautenwerk and a Flemish harpsichord. In keeping with the informal nature of the programs, some of the programming will remain not fully fixed until near the time of each recital.
The concerts will all be free, with no reserved seating or tickets required. However, anyone wishing to reserve seats in advance for the whole series - with a choice of seating locations - may do so for $75 for the series. Inquiries about reservations - and any general inquiries - should be made by email to pekc@pekc.org
